Ordering & Shipping Information

SHOPPING CART:  Use our convenient "secure" on-line shopping cart.  Click on the category you want from the menu on the left side of your screen.  Enter the quantity for each item you'd like to buy & click on the "buy" button.  At the top of your screen, there will be a running total of the items you have chosen.  You may clear, delete or review your order at any time.  Your shipping charges will be automatically added & ***quantity discount amounts will be deducted when applicable.

You can E-mail your order if you'd like.  If we have your credit card number on file and/or your address, you don't have to give us that information again.

Snail Mail Orders:   You can still use the shopping cart. Click on  which method you want to use when  you "check out" from the shopping cart.  There will be a "box" which says fax or mail order.   Print out your completed order and mail with the  payment method of your choice.  PO Box 46338  Seattle, WA 98146 Note: When you use this option, we do not receive a copy of your order, until you mail it to us.

Phone Orders: (206) 937-4146 Suggestion: Use the on-line shopping cart as if you were going to fax or mail your order.  Print your order and then call it in. If you want us to receive a copy on-line, use the first option "Secure On-Line" and check the box for Credit card options"Phone Credit Card Number"  Submit your order and we will receive a copy on-line.  You then can call us with your credit card number.  We will hold your order for 24 hours.

Payment:
We accept personal checks, money orders, Visa, Discover & MasterCard (Sorry, no COD's).
(Please make all checks and money orders in U.S. funds).

Washington State Residents:  Sales tax will automatically be added.  If you have a resale number on file with us, we will have that information on file & will not charge you sales tax.

*** Quantity Discounts: We offer a 10% discount  if your order amount is between $200 & $299 or, a 15% discount on orders $300 and over. This discount applies to all beads and supplies.

Return Policy:  Modern Beads; We will accept returns within 15 days after delivery of your order for exchange of your returned items. A 15% restocking fee will be applied to your returned items after 15 days, and you will receive store credit for the balance.. Sorry: we don't accept returns of opened packages or used products. 

Return Policy: Antique Beads; Due to the limited supply and the frequent change of inventory, all sales are final.

Shipping
We ship many orders US Priority Mail. unless express mail is requested. We do our best to ship orders the same day , if received before noon pst.

USPS rates changed significantly again this year [2008] and in response we have been shipping some orders via First Class mail in an attempt to keep your shipping costs reasonable. Typically First Class mail takes only a day or so longer to arrive than USPS Priority Mail does. 

*Note:  If your order is $400.00 or more, your shipping cost may be adjusted to cover any extra weight. For example a flat rate box may be the most practical/economical way to ship some orders. The Flat Rate is currently about $ 10.00. 

All orders over $400.00 must be insured (at a minimal additional fee).

International Orders

Priority Mail International (international orders) please read carefully.

Service is usually 4 to 5 business days but it is not guaranteed by the postal service[USPS.] This service cannot be insured & your package cannot be traced. Many of our international customers use global priority  if their package is under $100.00 (in value)& if they have a dependable mail service in their country. It is a much more economical service than express mail & we have not had a  package get lost in 14 years.  Empyrean Beads cannot be responsible for any international shipment that is not insured but we'll assist in any way we can if there is a problem.

If the package is over 4lbs or if extra bulky, an extra shipping charge may be added.

If you want your package to be insured,  we will use Global Express Mail. or Priority Mail International.  These rates depend on the country ,weight & the value of the package.  We will be glad to give you an estimate of  the cost on Global Express Mail  or Priority Mail International for your package by E-mail or fax if you request it.
